Where in Boro Park can I take my toddler to get him fitted for his first pair of shoes? Looking for somewhere with options in all price ranges. TIA!

Most Jewish stores don't have all price points. Probably 60 to 100

I like 14th Ave shoe store. Around 100$ for first walkers.

Schwartz is best for fitting babies, make sure to get one of the schwartz sons (with red beards)

Thanks! Since it’s the summer I’ll probably buy sneakers and sandals. Would sneakers/sandals be 100 each? Sounds like a lot for those but I would pay that for regular shoes.

You can get SaltWater Sandals f0r $50
Sneakers just get online - adidas, pumas, keds etc

Another vote for Schwartz. I always take my first walkers there to get fitted by one of the Schwartz brothers. Also as a sidebar it's important to remember that for the first pair of shoes especially you want to get something that's good for their foot and think outside the box of the exact thing you want.

Mr. Rubinfeld told me that sandals are terrible for a first pair.

I am really happy with yossi at oomph shoes. He is very honest, will Give your a shoe that will last a few months but also fits all as opposed to something that just fits.

I have seen multiple times, people coming in with newer walkers wanting to get new shoes because they think maybe the size is too small, and he tells them it still fits! Which is mind boggling to me. He has done it to me too, when I came to check if my 2 year old needed a bigger size.

I just got my little ones first shoes there

I would just buy him a pair of sneakers online but I want to have him fitted. Do you know if I can pay a store associate to just measure him or is that strange?

It’s not like that. Different brands fir differently and have different support. Have him fitted properly and buy from the store.

You should have him fit for a solid shoe for the first pair.

I used oomph as well for first walkers as well, the fitter seemed to really know what he was doing even though my baby refused to stand and only sat in my lap. He showed me the best options for my baby and I chose from those. He was very honest that the first pair gets trashed really quickly which is what happened but we are still using them.
