I think also because the i7 model is older than the i5 model, but I don't know if that makes a difference.
If I had more time I could be think and search.

If it's a just one model earlier then it shouldn't make much of a difference.

Which website are you buying on?

I tried looking it up on Amazon, but couldn't find it.

The i7 comes with a touchscreen, which is very important. You'll also need a keyboard and mouse but you might have those already.

All in ones come with the monitor and processing unit in one case. They're more expensive to repair if something goes wrong.
so if I'm not a techie, is all in one a better choice?

I don't think an all-in-one is a better choice but it might be the only choice if you need it by Friday. I personally would prefer to buy a desktop and monitor separately.

Is setting it up more complicated than an all in one?

What are the specs?

Which website are you referring to?

The main difference between the XPS and the Inspiron is their target. The Inspiron is an entry level line-up while the XPS, which stands for Xtreme Performance System, is a line of high-performance machines for heavy computing and gaming.

If you're just interested in basic computing, Inspiron should be fine.

thanks. I compared buying separately to all in one and it was almost the same price so I just went with the easier all in one.

That's fine. I too noticed that the price was about the same. I hope it all works out.

If you're not a techie, this will be more than enough for your needs.

For the same price go with the i7, it also has more ram which is very important for running many programs or browser tabs at once. It will also make the computer last longer as programs take up more and more ram in the future.

The computer just arrived. There's no tower, is that what an all in one computer is? I didn't realize this. Should I return for a regular computer?

That's what an all-in-one computer is. The processing unit is built into the monitor case. It's fine.
