I would like to start therapy and am wondering if people can weigh in on these places for therapy? Would love to hear experiences with both.

Chemed therapists are all lcsw’s. They don’t take anyone out of school.

Following and bumping.
I tried 2 therapists at LCSC, neither were a great for me. Now I'm on a waitlist for one at chemed, but I have no idea if she is good either.
When you do an intake at LCSC they put you in with whoever has an opening. At chemed they may find someone who is a more ideal match, and put you on their waitlist. Although I think they can sometimes just throw you with whoever has an opening, too.
I guess either way, do your research into the therapist, if you can.

Personally I have found LCSC therapists are more well trained, but that probably doesn’t help if they stick you with a brand new one.

I have a sibling who is an LCSW at one of these places. Yes, you can request someone specific, but you would have to wait if she has no availability.

Chemed hires more well-trained therapists. LCSC tends to have younger, fresh out of school clinicians. If you need off-peak (evenings or Sundays) appointment times then LCSC will probably be able to accommodate you better.
