I know there’s a huge range
Just trying to get a ballpark idea
I want to do a basement (already dug out in old house if that make a difference) plus 3 stories. Lot is 30 by 100.

So how do you cheshbon square footage? Is it length of house x width of house x number of stories?

In brooklyn it's aprox 450k-500k per floor these days.

A basement and two floors, 1,000 sq ft each (I’m figuring 50’ X 20’) would be in the 1.5 million range according to that. I would want to know what’s included in that. Does it include bathrooms, kitchen, and furnishings like bannisters for the staircases, lighting fixtures? Or is it 1.5 million just for the construction and additional cost for everything else?

It includes everything. Tiles, staircase, banister, electrical work but not the actual fixtures, low voltage work etc. Besides the kitchen and laundry room. Kitchen with appliances and counters is in the 50k range. Laundry room depends on the size.

Kitchen for 50k is on the lower end. I just finished one and my cabinets and counters were 50k
