School calendar says 8/23!

I send to another school and we have 8/23 also.
That's fairly typical in Lakewood.
Boys schools start between Daled and Zayin Elul. (8/23 is Vav).

I hope they make it later… who needs little boys in school in August?
I get it if it’s August 28 but 23??!

This is not the first time at all that theyve done this.
Summer vacation is 6 weeks.
The last day of school is July 12/13.
There are years that Cheder starts August 12 or 16.

I think they start shortly after Rosh Chodesh, without referencing the secular date.
