I think Acadia National Park is supposed to be beautiful. Also, I think there is a kosher bed & breakfast called Shore Path Cottage - you could look it up on the web.
Hatzlocha!

Wewent to Acadia 5 years ago, it was really nice. We brought all our own food and rented a cottage with a teeny kitchen. We came from Brooklyn so we broke up the drive into 2 parts.

Maine has gorgeous beaches, but I'm not sure if you're looking for that. And tons of attractions like ferries to islands, lighthouses, stuff like that. (Portland area)
Old Orchard Beach has an amusement park on the beach with lots of souvenir shops. There's even a shul there and lots of Israelis come up from Florida for the summer to open up shop there.
There's Desert of Maine which is also fun, a real desert, and also a tourist attraction.
There's also fun little shopping towns, Freeport with the original LL Bean is a big tourist attraction.

I need a vacation there too. Very Happy

I've never stayed at any of the hotels there but the entire beach area is hotels, motels, and souvenir shops and the amusement park. You should be able to find something.
I've never noticed anything else like water activites or whatever there, but there may be, or if not there close by.
I haven't been there in about 7 years so things could have changed, but I bet not much. Smile

The coast of Maine is just beautiful. I'm itching to take a trip there again. I drove up to Kennebunkport once a long time ago, just enjoyed the scenery - didn't really do anything special. If you want to shop I do remember stopping in Kittery where they have tons of outlet stores.

Kittery is about an hour south of Portland. It's practically a city of outlet stores.
Then if you go up the coastline- Cape Elizabeth, Old Orchard, Scarborough, etc., it's just gorgeous.
If you keep going north, it turns into a different world. Less people, more forests and wildlife, the kind of people who live with the nature around them instead of the whole fast-food restaurants-movie theaters-sports type of life.
The Chabad Shliach is in Portland.

I should have written that the shul in Old Orchard doesn't get a minyan very often, only very rarely. But it's still a nice little shul building.
