I have a retail business idea.. it is unique and necessary and I am quite confident that it will make money.. however, it needs to be opened in a high end area in order to succeed (like Manhattan).. anyway Dh and I are barely making ends meet and still have a lot of CC debt and I really don't want to take out a loan...
I am looking for someone who is looking to invest in a business (initial investment will prob. be around 200,000-300,000)

1. If you know anyone who is interested in such a venture let me know
2. also I want to build a buisness model, and a proposal I was wondering if someone knows what I need to include and if there is a template for this type of thing

TIA

You are looking for someone like a venture capitalist (most venture capitalists do manufacturing or high tech, as far as I know), that is why I said someone like a venture capitalist. However getting financial backing without financial input your side will be extremely difficult. Very few people are willing to invest in a business an carry all of the financial risk. Your sweat equity will not be valued like their financial equity will be. Most people who start business whether or not they have financial backers put up a significant portion of their net worth on the line.

Good luck,

my opinion would be to get the attorney, accountant, etc all on the same page before going to the vc's.

if you need a permit or patent, do that first before anything else.

There are great books on bp preparations but rather than following templates or books the best way to go is with an attorney who has experience with this level of start up.

Is it a service or a product?
