URGENT- Are IMDB Message boards safe?

Can my teen reveal herself and others reveal themselves? Please tell me- an IMDB Dummy who doesn't know the first thing other than that my teen posts there. Is this a dangerous thing to do?

IMDB is a movie/tv/entertainment site.

I would not allow my kids to post there.

As to 'revealing yourself'... anyone can reveal themselves anywhere. I'm not sure what your question is.
