I got this from another list I am on. The song certainly tells the story of someone who missed the Sbarro bombing and then moved to NY an was working in the twin towers and was saved from that bombing by the same person!. Does anyone know if it is true? Was he saved from both bombings by the same person?! I mean HaShem did the saving of course but Hashem used the same human agent both times.

Even if it is not true that this guy was saved from both bombings by the same person it is an incredible and inspiring story. I am just wondering how much poetic license was taken.

A lot of poetic license. The guy was Mark Sokolow - a partner at the law firm of Thacher Proffitt & Wood. The story is here - http://www.jewishsf.com/conten......html
He first escaped the 9/11 disaster, and then narrowly escaped Sbarro bombing, which took place 6 months later (in Feb 2002, I believe).

Sbarro was in the summer of 2001 (I was visiting Israel that summer and walked by the site later in the week) and the Twin Tower bombing was, as everyone knows, Sept. 11th. I remember a neighbor in NJ telling me how dangerous Israel was and I was fuming at her... and then came Sept. 11th. just a few miles from us!
