I'm sure there are frum people there as there are frum people in EVERY University in the NY area.
Chances are she may not have any in her class or won't meet frum people unless she specifically knows where to go on campus to meet frum people. In many colleges (besides Brooklyn, Queens...) where you'll likely meet frum people just about anywhere on campus, you have to speak to someone to know where to meet people--like in the Hillel house or in a certain professor's office, etc.
