We'd like to go to Times Square tomorrow with the kids (toys r us) but we don't want to pay to eat out there. ANy place we can eat our own food near there? (Such as a park, benches, or playground?)

Bryant Park is right behind the Main Library you can access it from 6th avenue, which is about 1 block east of Broadway (where times square is) and is 3 or so blocks south at about 41-42nd street. There are lots of benches, I think there even is a carousel there now, and it is quite pleasant.
