I almost put this in controversial topics, because I'm sure opinions will vary... but here's something that I just saw:

I just read this book. A friend of my family bought it from Israel for my little sister.
It's a cute story and really incredible for so many people to volunteer to do the illustrations.

But yeh, why is this considered controversial?

People have different political views, that's all. I don't think it's that controversial.

Apparently when Gilat Shalit was 11, he was given an assignment in school to write a story based on a classic parable of the mouse and the snake (something like that). This was his version of the story.

I think it's so touching to hear the children read it out loud.

This brought tears to my eyes. This story applies to many situations in our world. I liked seeing the kids read it. I wonder if I can find it here in NY
