Does anyone know of talk to drop the fee for second checked luggage(and especially on the ones that charge for first luggage), or is this just going to become a standard extra cost to expect on a flight?

I wish! We're davening, but it's still cheaper than shipping stuff ahead. I would feel better about it if they just hid the cost in the plane ticket instead of just rubbing in my face that they are making my travel harder Sad

just look on it as a discount for those who don't carry luggage.

I thought there's only a fee for domestic flights?

It's a pretty new thing and it's not on all airlines or maybe not to all locations. I didn't have it on American when I traveled a few months ago. (or a few months before that)
