Where in Flatbush can I bring in bottles to get money back for them? I know Shoprite has it. Any other stores?
I've been saving up bottles for a while now and would like to cash in.

usually the places where they are purchased and charge a deposit - must take the bottles ... shoprite merely has the machines ...

So I can bring them in to any supermarket and have them give me money for them? I have garbage bags full.

Most major grocery stores have the machines to deposit them, then take the slip to customer service desk to get the cash.

if you bought them there - & they charge the deposit - then they should take them back ...
not everybody abides by the rules ...
it would be more worthwhile to go to the shoprite machines ...

My vending machine "charges" the deposit, and no I can't get it back from it.
There are many places that sell, and charge and cannot take it back. Certainly if you show up at a gas station with a garbage bag of them I don't know if they even can, let alone would appreciate dealing with that...which is why there are machines.

Stop & Shop and Waldbaums
I saved up for awhile and then went to cash in - I had 2 huge garbage bags of bottles - it came to a littl eover $2. After that I said forget it. The space needed to store the bottles is more valuable to me than the few dollars I'll make off it.

I just can't swallow a) turning my deposit into a tax bc NY state "needs" more revenue.... and b) if I just put it in the recycling on trash night, someone else takes it and gets my deposit back....
Also, we don't use a lot and go once a month while we're shopping anyways. It gets the kids a bag of bamba as a snack.
