My baby is badly teething and has a constant red rash under her chin (by her neck). The dr. perscribed a medicated cream, that works, but I want to try to stick away from it. Vaseline doesn't take away the red. Any suggestions?

this happened with my son too, try keeping the area dry, and that might just do it.

my sons neck is red underneath and I thought it was from sweat or something b/c he has more than 1 chin.
Is that from teething though?

Is your baby chubby? Sometimes it's hard to keep all those folds dry and a yeast infection could develop. Any over the counter yeast infection cream should work fine. My son was a huge baby and he had this often!

are you using a nipple shield for nursing by any chance? I did at first since I was inverted, and thats what gave my baby a rash. cream really helped.

I use a zinc based cream - like zincofax. it helps keep the area moist-free untill it heals.it works well.

wipe it whenever you see it wet. My kids had the same problem you can also use diaper rash cream for it too.
