My friend did it last year. She bought dried fruit with orange fake flowers-was very cute.

Maybe you can do something with those little umbrella toothpicks?

thanks for the replies. I have bypassed this idea already b/c I would have to make it all and wrap it up the day before (b/c I wanted to do fresh fruit) I am just not a last minute person, I can't do it all the day before.

I'm thinking of either doing a soup w/croutons or a chinese theme w/a play on the word "sin" (Hebrew for China) with the English word sin as in avayrah.

Like, Achashverous wanted all the Jews to "sin" when they came to his party... or here's a package of "sin"-ful delights...

does that even make sense to anyone else?

It makes sense and is very cute, but you will have to write something. Okay, is that going to be your next question LOL ?

yo, thanks for the feedback.

Yeah, I'll need to come up with some clever words of Purim Torah to go along with it. Ideas always welcome. LOL

for a simple tropical theme that can be prepared in advance, you can bury a pineapple in a flowerpot underneath chocolates and stuff. It looks just like a mini palm tree.
