I would like to dress my toddler as a ballerina for Purim.
So far I have a tutu skirt and ballet shoes.
I need ideas on how to put the finishing touches on her outfit.
(She doesn't have much hair, so a bun is out of the question.)

Thanks Cassandra.
If the tutu skirt is hot pink, what color ballet shoes, tights, and leotard should I use?

Should I go with light pink leotard, socks and shoes along with a hot pink tutu?
Or should I do hot pink everything (that might be weird)?
Or hot pink tutu and shoes, and light pink leotard and tights?

This is the tutu. Now how should I complete the costume?

I'd go with light pink. For one, I've never seen hot pink ballet shoes. Light pink is pretty much the standard little girl color on ballet class. My daughter's first teacher would not even allow black slippers.

Dd is being one too. Got a cute ballerina costume. I will put on a pink turtle neck and pink tights. A tiara is cute. Dd might wear one or I'll make her a little ponytail with a pink ribbon.

I would say use light pink everything else with the hot pink tutu. See if you can get either a hot pink tiara or a tiara with hot pink "jewels"

I was deciding between these 3 pairs of shoes, and planning on adding a ribbbon to tie around dd's ankles.

But then I realized that I have a pair of champagne colored ballet shoes that dd wore once to her uncle's wedding. I think I will just spray paint them to the color I want. And there is a little tab at the back of the shoes that allow me to pull a matching ribbos through, so I can tie it around her ankles.

If your dd's shoe size is 7 or higher, I would go with these, which are ballet slippers. Much more authentic that ballet shoes, but my dd's shoe size is 6. Oh well.

Btw, what is your opinion about my dd's choice of shoes?

That's exactly what I decided Smile I saw a tiara that has pink Marabou feathers on it, and it looks adorable with the tutu skirt.

Are the shoes that you bought available online? Can you post the link or give me the name of the shoe and the company so I can look it up? Thanks.

You can go to any arts & Crafts store and get some Hot pink ribbons to attach to the shoes so thatyou can wrap them around her legs like a real ballerina

I second the Tiara

Check target.com. I got it like a month ago. They might still have it online. They have a few shoes that go for ballerina-see the circo ones.
