I don't use this recipe, but this is what they look like in pinwheels. Instead of rolling it, I place one on top of another and freeze. If you want my recipe, I can give it to you, but it is a very margariney cookie.

I got this recipe from my cooking teacher in h.s.
1c soft margarine
1 c sugar
3 eggs
4 c flour
1 t. baking soda
1 t baking powder
1 t vanilla extract
1-1 oz. square unsweetened melted chocolate
Mix marg. and sugar till creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating in bet. each. Add flour, soda, and powder. Divide dough in 1/2. One add vanilla. Other add chocolate. I'm not sure how to explain the rest. I'll try. You want to make 4 equal rectangular layers to fit on wax paper. 2 white and 2 chocolate. Place one on top of the other, wrap wax paper around it making it snug and a nice square shape. Freeze. preheat 400. When frozen or partially defrosted (can't be too much otherwise it won't cut nicely), cut into 1/4" slices. bake 10-12 min and cool when done.
