Perhaps a menorah or a seder plate...something Jewish but not so "frum"? If you can afford it, silver is nice.

HB to FIL!! Cheers

Something electronic that would help him organize but not too complicated like a casio organizer or the like.

a watch is always nice
scotch was a good suggestion if he is like the drinking type

give us some more background on him! that is a very open ended question.

The things my father would like vs the things my FIL would like are totally diferent (but they are also both not near 60)

cuff links?
Even if he is not religious is he into any judaica type items- nice mezuzos, silver things, etc?

is he into cars? some men really are
is he a traveler? a gift certificate somewheretowards tickets or a hotel
or if they are the type wholike eating out-git cert to a nice restaurant?

see what I mean?
tell us more...

Bumping this. Any ideas for the man who B"H doesnt need anything. I though of a 75year old bottle of scotch- but that is expensive. I thought of kosher wine club, but its just him and my MIL and I don't think they will drink it alone.

A 75 year old bottle of Scotch probably isn't worth it.

You can get a few bottles that add up to 75. Much more economical.

What about bar glasses. Or shot glasses if he's a drinker.

Does he like mixed drinks? Get something in that department.

Does he have an office?

If yes you can get him a digital picture frame where you can email in pics of the family. If he’s the type to enjoy it.

Or a clock or mousepad with family pic in it.

Or a masculine oil room diffuser. Chanda has very nice ones for men’s desktop.

These ideas are great- except-
He already has bar glasses (cute idea!)
He is retired, so no office
Good scotch and lots of bottles are too expensive.... : (
I think we will get him a cute tshirt or lounge pants and make a donation to an organization he likes in his honor..

We made a shutterfly scrap book of him through the years. Pictures of his parents and siblings, high school, with MIL as a newlywed, as the kids came and then the grandchildren. We put in fun facts and popular culture from the different decades of his life. It was a TON of work but he found it really special.

He has everything but is the sentimental type.
