ever wonder about the white strands hanging at the side of an egg yolk, well the chalazae's only role is to anchor the egg yolk to the center of the egg ... personally I find them gross and I pull them out before cooking ... anybody with me ?!

did you know that they're only there for a few days, when the egg is freshest?
