They have to be cooked first or use any leftover plain rice.

it's fine cold, but there's only one way to find out, right?
by the way, I usually use leftover rice for the kugel!

you can use rice in a stocking as a heating pad. just microwave for about a minute. it's great for when your in labor, my labor coach recommended it.

or you could sew a weighed portion into a rectangular fabric bag, add velcro straps and make your own ankle-and-wrist weights. just remember to put them away for pesach!
btw you can use lentils, beans, barley or kasha the same way you can use rice for a heating pad.

This wouldn't be a problem in my house. We use at least 2 cups every shabbos and sometimes more during the week. At 20lb bag lasts about 2 mos in my house (and only that long because we have a small family). We mostly eat it plain, but you can add almost anything to rice: sauteed onions and chickpeas, spanish rice (add tomato sauce, cumin, frozen veggies), chinese fried rice, rice & beans...

Rice wouldn't last that long in my house either - I make alot of spanish rice - or pepper steak & rice - sweet & sour chicken & rice
and yum the thought of rice pudding reminds me of when I was 8 - I used to make it myself - like oatmeal except w/rice : milk, cin, raisins, vanilla
See if a neighbor needs some or seal in a tight container for whenever u do need it

put the rice in in a baby bath or large bucket with a bunch of containers, spoons and scoops and let your kids be entertained for hours. I was just thinking thsi morning I should by a 20 pound bag for this.
