A chocolate-chocolate-chip cookie recipe flopped, so now I have a batch-full of cookie crumbs and bits. Any ideas? Maybe to use as the bottom of some cake or pie?

Make some parve ice cream and mix the crumbs and bits into it before freezing.
Sprinkle over any ice cream.
Make a no bake cookies n cream pie.
Sprinkle over any frozen pie.

Use it in a trifle or as a pie crust (crush cookies and press into a pie pan)

Been there - done that - yes it does get frustrating - but here are two ways to make it have an AWESOME ending!
If the crumbs are still soft - I would press half of them into the bottom of a pie plate or a tin (circle, square or rectangular one. I would whip up a batch of parve ice-cream and fold the other half of the crumbs in.
I have once made the following DAIRY Ice-cream cake -
I pressed the crumbs/chunks into the bottom and up the sides of a spring-form pan, filled it with softened ice-cream (let it sit on counter for about 15 minutes, sprinkled it with more cookie crumbs, put it back in the freezer for 15 minutes while a second flavor of ice-cream sat on the counter for 15 minutes. Spread the 2nd layer of icecream on top and sprinkle the extra cookie crumbs (if anymore left) around the outersides of the icecream. Freezer for 2 hours (or more).
- Great birthday cake! Gaurunteed lots of ooohhhs! and Wows!!
Otherwise - try trifles
GOOD LUCK!!!!

You can just whip up a liquid topping. Add vanilla, or whatever flavor you like. (See the back of the Hadar topping.)

Sorry I don't have time now, I may have actually given this recipe over under ice cream. I'll try later bli neder. It's an old Betty Crocker recipe that curdles the eggs and uses milk (I've used substitutes successfully), whip, vanilla and sugar.

Thanks sky! I'm there in Sept. (And still on the computer instead of cleaning up kitchen and getting ready for work since I had to be on the phone and computer arranging a last minute dr appointment.)
