I froze raw salmon in a sauce. Do I defrost it in the fridge and then bake or bake from frozen? Thanks.

I would say defrost it first so that you will know how long to cook it. unless you know how long it takes for the salmon to defrost and then bake in the oven.

I've used the Kirkland frozen salmon.. usually bake it frozen because it's the quickest that way. If I remember ahead of time, I'll defrost it first.

You should never cook fish or chicken from frozen. Meat is different. Don't ask me why, my Dad A"H who was a butcher knew all these food & safety things.

Is that also true for cooked salmon that has been frozen? Should you thaw it before reheating? Or can you just put it right into the oven?

Just to clarify, I'm asking about salmon that has already been cooked, then frozen. Still defrost first?

I have never frozen cooked salmon, but I would totally put the frozen cooked salmon right into the oven and defrost/heat it there.
