I'm in the market for a new perfume and would love suggestions of something wonderful. Here is what I'm looking for:

-Something that lasts a long time after I spray it; I want to smell like it all day and find that some perfumes go away pretty quickly

-Something light, but not too light. I don't want to smell like an old lady, but I do want to smell.

-I tend to like floral/citrus scents. In the past I have loved Chanel Chance. I'm just thinking of maybe trying something new.

Ideas?

I am VERY particular about frangrance.
That being said the ONLY store to buy my perfume/cologne at is Barney's.
It is by L'Artisan.
I alternate between Figue (pronounced fig) and Patch-which is patchouli based.

I wear one scent for several months-even years and then swicth.

They are incredible! Strangers stop me all the time to ask me what I am wearing...

As far as price, they are not over-the-top expensive but they are NOT a low end product. Prepare to spend over $120. BUT because it is Barneys they will give you a ton of travel samples...
ENJOY!

Classic Burberry is my favorite. I love the Summer version but it fades - it doesn't have the oil in it. The classic one is feminine yet clean.

Most mid priced perfumes you can find online for much cheaper so go to the stores and find what you want then purchase it online.

Chanel Chance is great but you wear that already Wink

Princess by Vera Wang is my favorite, lite and flowery, or classic Vera Wang for something dressier

Delices de Cartier is very fresh smelling too.

Go to a dept store and try a perfume, walk around with it and see how you like it as it lasts. Also every perfume wears differently and can smell different as it blends with unique skin scents so it's personal. Good luck!

I second that. Get Eau de perfume - it stays longer.

I agree with the poster who said flowerbomb by victor and rolf- great smell and best thing about it is that not too many people have it so its unique..they have it at nordstroms for 100$ for the bottle

If you're gonna buy perfume, it should be French!

I love Jicky by Guerlain and Chanel No. 5 - Classic and beautiful.

I like Cabotine De Gres. The same perfume smells differently on every person, has to do with skin chemistry.

Hermes Apres de Mousson, or Hermes Jardin sur la nil. Yummy, and it lasts a long long time.

Recently I was searching for a new perfume and could not make a decision. I found that sephora sells a sample of 10 perfumes for $50, I think. It also comes with a voucher for a free bottle (regular size) of any of those samples. They had some really nice ones, that were mentioned above. I usually like a light floral scent, but didn't find one that I loved. They let me choose a difffernt perfume and took $50 off the price. I chose stella, by stella mccartney.

Beautiful by Estee Lauder. You can use a tester at any department store to try it out.

My absolute fave.

I have that and LOVE it!! But I don't think it's a "light" scent... in case that's what the OP wants... Confused
