Hi. Syrian food is appealing even to me, major Ashkenazi girl who doesn't eat many new things nor spices. I did a search under SY and Syrian food,... It looks best to ask you at this forum. Which are the Syrian foods here?
I recognized kibbeh, and even better kibbeh bil Sineeyeh. What other SY treasures are here in this forum?

other syrian foods that I am familiar with include lachmagin, keskasoon, majedra. maybe search those terms? I am not sure of the exact spelling of these foods, hopefully another poster who is more familiar with them can help...

Someone once posted a spaghetti dish she said was syrian. I think it was spaghtti and chicken in a pot?

I'm not SY but learned to cook some. Bezirgan, sambousak, ka'ak, meshi, rice with pine nuts, meatball soup, apricot roll with pistachio (does anyone make it still aside from a bakery in Ocean Parkway?)
Some of them, like kibbe or stuffed grapevine leaves, are not exclusively syrian. (Don't tell Lebanese kibbe is Syrian!) But there are different spices and recipes so you can tell the difference.
