I just bought some new stainless steel salt shakers. And they were not cheap.
I toiveled them, washed them, and... found a ring of rust (or something brown!) on the inside (under the top). I can't reach it with a piece of steel wool or anything like that-- does anyone have a good idea? I was thinking of trying to soak it in something, but what? Vinegar? Baking soda??
TIA!

Sounds like the effect of residual chlorine from the mikvah that reacted with the metal. You can try soaking in vinegar, but if it's from the chlorine, the discoloration is permanent. It's inaccessible and doesn't show when you use it; let it be.
