Do you mean coloring your hair for fun, or to cover grey ?

13/14.
I initially experimented with "Sun-In," but got a little bolder, and used hair dye from a box. Let's just say "orange" wasn't exactly the color I was aiming for...

13 or so, much too young if you ask me now Wink
The big trend? 2 blond streaks on each side of the face. LOL! No idea why it was so trendy.

Maybe because of her

Apparently some teens still go for it!

I dyed my hair once when I was a teen. I used a spray bottle and it was such a mess. I was Miss Mary Mack and since she had black hair, as far as the song goes, I dyed it. I have blonde hair. This was for purim Wink . I don't suppose you mean for one day, do you Smile ?

I was actually wondering about covering up gray, not just for fun. Since most women on this site cover their hair, I was wondering if that affects at what age they decide to dye their hair.

Thanks for the responses.

My hair is so much darker and some gray from before I started covering. I think of coloring, but I don't. I'm in my late 30's.

she didn't have b lack hair, just b lack clothes:

Miss Mary Mack Mack Mack
All dressed in black, black, black
With silver buttons, buttons, buttons
All down her back, back, back.

She asked her mother, mother, mother
For 50 cents, cents, cents
To see the elephants, elephants, elephants
Jump over the fence, fence, fence.

They jumped so high, high, high
They reached the sky, sky, sky
And they didn't come back, back, back
'Til the 4th of July, ly, ly

I know, but I wanted to go with the whole black theme. It didn't really make such a difference because the dye didn't really work.

I was 19. Got a gorgeous very dark brown instead of my on the dark side brown hair with yellow highlights.
Nobody even noticed!! I was in hairdressing school studying hair coloring and every shabbos my mother would give me a little speech about how horrible it is for frum girls to dye their hair. Ha, she couldn't even tell until I pointed it out to her. Then it softened her up to the idea.
