We have a large kiddush every Shabbos and the Reb. prepares it, along with our help of course.
She's away for 6 weeks and I'm the Summer Reb. and whereas I'll do the work, I just don't want to be exhausted and then miss hearing kiddush.
I spread the word that everyone should help carry and such - is that bad, ya think? I have a friend save a place for me at the table.

We all do.....one thing is that she doesn't eat at the kiddush so if she misses out hearing kiddish it's not the end of the world.
the rest of us are there for it! we;'re not just working!
