What do you eat when there's nothing to eat? When you aren't particuarly hungry but just want to munch or have a craving, what do you eat when you just want something?

There's ice cream (always a first choice for me), popcorn, nuts, candy, gum...

Please give me some ideas here! What's your middle-of-the-night-I-just-want-to-eat snack? Healthy or indulgent. make me drool!

Middle of the night? Water or ice cubes maybe. No eating after supper.

For regular snacking it's always ice cream.

popcorn, a fruit, a cookie (sometimes), leftover soup

BUT

dh will have chicken, cholent, schnitzel, etc AS A SNACK, no matter what time o day or night!! The morning after our chasuna, he completely ignored the gorgeous breakfast basket that my friend had made for us. He skipped over the bagels, lox, creamcheese, OJ, cereal and milk, yogurts, fruits, cookies, etc and dug straight into our leftovers from the wedding which my parents had sent with us to the hotel (we hadn't really eaten at the actual wedding meal). Yup, you guessed it! He ate schnitzel and mashed potatoes for breakfast! LOL

I usually just eat when I'm hungry - but I like to eat a second supper, cottage cheese, chocolate chips or chocolate, cake etc. To tell the truth many times I just give up because there's nothing good to eat in the house Mad

cereal, cereal, cereal. Refreshing and healthy (I hope) if I'm alone, I'll add chocolate powder.

Also chocolate oaties by Rakusens. (if you're English you'll know what they are)

Actually, anything chocolate is good!

I agree: chocolate, chocolate, chocolate, chocolate and a hundred times more for those not watching their weight. For watchers I find pickles to be a great, snack low in calories.

My favorite is potato chips. Then some chocolate to balance the salt and the sugar.
But when I want to eat something good for me, I love peaches, blueberries, strawberries or lemon ices.

Those of you who snack on fruit, dates, apples and peanut butter and whatnot - those are all delicious, don't get me wrong, but don't you ever want REAL food? (ie cake, cookies (c.c. of course!) jelly beans, chocolate...)
