Where is the best place to go watch the fireworks over the Hudson tomorrow?
I am not interested in paying or going anywhere where it will be jam packed.

West Side Highway below 59th. But its likely to be packed.

I'd consider trying NJ, maybe Hoboken.

You wont be able to see these fireworks from brooklyn. It's on the other side of manhattan.

Chocolate Moose, that would be great but which roof can I have access to?

Barbara, Do you know an exact place in hoboken that would be accessible and allow for a clear viewing?

No, sorry. You could google it. Or just follow the crowds.

I *can* tell you that while Macy's and the City tell you that there's no clear viewing above 59th Street, last year you could definitely see some of the fireworks from high elevations well north of that .

The *official* info:

Or go to a smaller local fireworks display. Many suburban towns put on very acceptable displays. Google a town near you for information.

Fireworks USED to be on the East Side. Last year, they were moved to the West Side, set off of barges on the Hudson, to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Henry Hudson's finding the Hudson River. They decided to do a repeat this year. WEST SIDE. If you go wherever you were a few years ago, you're going to see nothing.

From where? The Macy's Fireworks, of course, are being set off over the Hudson -- West Side -- and will not be visible from the East Side.
