1 frozen pie shell..defrost...place in oven for 10 mins and remove...let cool.
1 red onion or vidalia(I love the vidalia onions, highly recommended)
heat frying pan with oil, once oil is hot add onions, once onions are in and have take to heat, reduce to med high and heat and allow them to cook for 15 mins(you basically wanna caramelize them.
once caramelized spread them out on the bottom of pie crust
place some shredded mozarella cheese ontop of them.
filling for quiche:once onions and mozarella are on pie crust...in a mesuring cup or small bowl mix...
3 large eggs
1 1/2 c. milk
salt and pepper
pour ontop of onions and cheese,,,,be careful as it may overflow....
bake 350 for 45 mins.
p.s. feel free to experiment with different vegetables,,ie:sauteed mushrooms, zucchini and peppers...enjoy!

I thought quiche by definition is milchig - doesn't it have to have cheese for it to be a quiche?
