P.S. Also if you have wise words that your mother used to, or still does tell you. You are welcome to share Very Happy

Warning: It will not become a judgemental or critical thread. Only a Torah sharing one To be inforced Very Happy

Twisted Evil Ok looks like only fy and myself have mothers words of wisdom

Always listen till the end coz if you jump or interrupt, you may miss out on crucial information.

Curiosity sometimes kills the cat.

What did your last slave die of..... slavery?!

Have to think of more and also a dvar torah.

p.s.s did you used to sit on your fathers lap at shabbos table and everywhere too, when he would sing. Or was it only me?

Sometimes it's best to keep silent and be thought a fool then speak up and remove all doubts.

Freilich - did your mother really say that?

My mother's favorite saying: "Far a nar vazt men nisht kan halb arbit" - don't show a fool a half-done job. She has used this oooften.

Another favorite saying: Better brain than brawn.

Atchually she would say it as much to herself as she would to us, in other words ignore some comments and let people think what they want!

Freilich this just sounds like the quotes thread. My mother never had quirky quotes for us, it was always "when I was your age...." you get the picture.

My mother always had quotes for us to get the message! And this way we could never complain since she didn't make it up.

She would also say when I win the pools! until one day I got smart and asked have you even entered. To which she answered no Wink
