I am iyh making a melava malka aka birthday party and wanted some good ideas. Preferebly easy and freezes well. Salads and drinks ideas are welcome too. Thanks.

I just made the caesar salad recipe on this site and it was amazing. You can make lasagna or ziti, penne a la vodka with milk or soymilk, chumus platters, quiches, kugels....

This is not a menu. Just some ideas of things to serve. mushroom cheese quiche, lasagna, chips, salsa, guacamoli, fruit salad, trail mix, veggie platters with dips... hot soup (split pea, mushroom barley, cream of mushroom, just some ideas), hot cider, hot chocolate, fruit punch, chocolate fondu, baked apples or apple crisp I think you can make smores in the oven.

How many people do you have to cook for?
Does it all have to be freezeable stuff?

No, not all has to be freezable at all. I am having about 20 adults and 30 kids.

some ideas...

bagels
spreads

creamy baked ziti
macaroni cheese salad
mini wraps (tuna, avocado... cut in half)

Caesar salad
spinach hearts of palm salad
Greek salad
veggie sticks with dairy ranch dressing

iced coffee
pina colada
cheese cake

some can be made ahead and frozen, most can be prepared ahead of time and assembled right before.

Macaroni Cheddar Salad - Quick & Kosher

1 (1-pound) box elbow macaroni, cooked according to package directions
1 cup (4-ounces) cheddar cheese, cut into ¼" cubes
1 large celery stalk, diced
1/2 cup frozen green peas, thawed
1/2 cup packaged shredded carrots
3/4 cup light mayonnaise
3/4 cup sour cream
1 tsp celery seed (I omit)
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
Israeli packed in brine, diced (optional)

Mix all ingredients in a large bowl until well combined.
Refrigerate for 2 hours before serving.
If not serving immediately, store for up to 1 week in an airtight container in your fridge.

says you can Add tuna, sliced hard-boiled eggs or chunks of different cheeses for a heartier version.
