Any professional piano players out there? I’m having cabin fever here with the snowstorm and figured I’ll crack this song that I’ve been putting off for a while. Basically, the song is the old “aibishter” from Tzlil Vzemer.

Reward for those who help me crack this: I will post the finished song with the lyrics, and the chords to play, in the easier transposed version. Yay!

Now, here’s the work so far:

I transposed it to start off at the e (see the trees), then move back down to c (feel the breeze). The original song from the cd begins at D, B flat, F, D.

Okay, so far so good. According to the cd version, the Aibishter part is played with G,D,D… (transposed to A,E,E,)

According to the cd version, it ends off with (and all of your work is true) C,D,C,B,A,A,G.

This is where I’m getting stuck, some difficult notes which I think can only be sung, and not played per se:

Then comes, (It’s not hard to understand) G, B,D,G,
You created all for man – C, E,G,
Please reveal your special plan - C#,E,G,#,A,
And bring us, moshiach - A,B,A,B

Next up, Aibishter continues in a new area - A#, F,F…

So help – how do I transpose this section to start with A,C#,etc.?

I don't know this song, but if I understood your post correctly, then you're just transposing 2 keys up (1 whole step.) so if the notes above are correct, the new ones should be as follows:

It’s not hard to understand – A,C#, E, A
You created all for man – D, F#, A
Please reveal your special plan - D#, F#, A#, B
And bring us, moshiach - B, C#, B, C#

Unfortunately, I'm still a bit stuck... the song really truly does not match up to piano keys at that particular spot.

does the song match up to the original keys you gave? I doublechecked and I transposed what you gave me correctly. or do you a link to the song or a file you can send me so I can score it myself?

No, it doesn't exactly, not the third line (please reveal your special plan)... having a rough time with it, only to conclude that it simply cannot be tapped out in a piano, only the true instrument - the human voice?

I don't know much about notes but my dh is a professional. He writes arrangements, lead sheets etc. If he has extra time I can tell him to figure it out for you.

like I said, I don't know the song. so without hearing that part, I can't do much more than transpose what you give me. do any of the links you provided have that part of the song?

AH OKAY, Now I don't feel so dumb. Yes, it's the melody that I'm getting hung up on. Once I have that, I can then figure the chords. (or use yours). Thanks!

It's not hard etc transposed to match the rest of the piece (1 full key up from the CD):

I don't have the notes, unless you can point me to an easy way to use a free downloadable software? I am playing the melody by ear, and the chords are typed above the lyrics.

I'll take a look in a bit. Dear (foster) son needs some attention now.

Regarding the request for a lead sheet, I don't have specialized software for this either. I could write it out and scan it.
