I will iy"h be there for a conference this summer and I want to know things about minyanim, restaurants, etc.
Also, is there a Jewish day care where I can leave my 1 year old for some time during the day?

My bil and sil are on shlichus there, and as far as I'm concerned, there are no restaurants, but there might be a minyan during the week. As far as playgroup, I don't know if its in session during the summer.

There is some Jewish life there; maybe you can check the Hamodia archives for an article from the last 6 weeks (and my apologies if Lubavitch isn't mentioned in the article, but there is a mini kollel there).
