We heard rustling yesterday and then again last night, so DH called the exterminator. As of this morning there is the MOST HORRIBLE animal smell in my KITCHEN.

The exterminator came out, looked around and said "looks like you've got a squirrel." but he didn't have any traps or cages, so he said he'd come back, *but he wasn't sure when* shock shock

I literally cannot go into my kitchen w/o feeling like I'm going to throw up (where is that emoticon?).

How am I supposed to cook for shabbos in a kitchen that smells this bad?

I called dh to light a fire under the exterminator and get him back out here, but he said he got his machine. . .

Should I call another exterminator?

Anyone been through anything similar?

Help.

call another exterminator, pronto!
or try the local health dept. they may want to capture the critter and test it for rabies or whatever the disease du jour happens to be.

Puke I think this is the one you are looking for. Definately call another exterminator. Good Luck and Good Shabbos.

How about buying Shabbos in this week? Save you having to cook in a smelly kitchen!!!

You don't have to keep allegiance to this exterminator, what is he doing for you? Nothing, get someone else who can help you.

update. . . sort of

DH called another exterminator, they'll come sometime today with traps and whatever else they need. They have experiece with wildlife extraction (I think that's what they called it).

B'H, Joel was talking to his co-worker, who is also a good friend, and whose wife I'm friendly with, and she invited us for shabbos lunch. That's a good friend -- inviting a family of 5 for shabbos lunch on a THURSDAY evening. I'm relieved that we only have to have Fri night at home. I probably would've cooked at a neighbors if I'd needed to, but we would still have had to eat it here, and our dining room is only slightly less smelly than the kitchen.

Yes, that was the emoticon I was looking for, what's the code?

Thanks for your support. I really needed to share.
