I wonder if someone out in imamother land knows of some sort of recorder that has already downloaded on it childrens books for the blind(age 10) my daughter misses the most reading books!I live in israel but I know someone who is comming in a week and I thought if something like this is out there then I could send it to her to bring in for my sweet girl. thanks lee

Are you looking for a device you can download audio books to, or are you looking for the downloadable stories?

I know you can purchase audio books from amazon to your PC and I assume you can then out them on whatever Mp3 type device you wanted.

you can also get children's books on CD, but it may be better to purchase CD's of books she'll want to hear more than once, and download the others-

there are also sites like Calibre audio library in the UK- which are specifically created to offer vision impaired people exposure to literature- http://www.calibre.org.uk/Sear.....y/495

an ipod with internet access (ipod touch) might be able to download a lot of these sorts of things onto it.

I have no info on getting a device/audio books, but if you need it picked up & brought to s/o in the flatbush/BP area (or somewhere nearby) I'd be happy to help out. PM me if you need.

YOu download in mp3 format to your computer and then can listen to books.
