Do you leave your young children in the car when you go into the gas station to pay? There have been many posts about how terrible it is to leave kids in the car. I agree, and hate doing it. But once in a blue moon I have had to go into the station. Sometimes I've taken my kids, and sometimes not. What do you do?

I would say it depends on the area, age of children, how far car is from station, are their glass doors/ windows in the station so you can see the car the whole time, the length of the line....

I think if you're running into the gas station to pay, and you can see your car, it's fine. Especially if you can see that there's not a line to pay in the gas station. I remember my parents doing this when I was little. They would leave my sister and me in the car on two occasions: the gas station and the post office (where they had a PO Box). Can you pay at the pump? That's what I'd do.
