Does your crockpot have a warm setting?
My crockpot with the warm setting does fine, in the crockpot that has only a low settign it tends to burn on the bottom & sides, but if it's a big crock you can just serve from the middle and it should be fine.

What is a "warm" setting? Mine has 3: high, low and "auto". Is "auto" warm?

I think I left my soup on low and it was fine. It turned to warm once the timer runs out. I don't know if soup would be safe at warm for so long.
