do u give ur child anything for a regular cold & if yes,what? (or do u have any tried & true "home
tricks?
I have both a baby & a toddler with a cold.

No, my very first pediatrician never believed in those cold remedies. He told me " you can give her some pediacare, if it'll make YOU feel better"
My current ped. says the same, tylenol or motrin if she has fever, elevate the head part of the mattress, so they breath easier, use a humidifier. Keep the nose clear. You have to remember that their cold is not as severe as adult colds tend to get.
Sometimes , if they seem extra miserable, I give a bit of Tylenol before they go to sleep, in case their throat or tummy starts hurting in the middle of the night.

Pedia Care if it last too long. I usually try & let it go itself. And I try not to give any cold meds under age 2 because they aren't usually made for under age 2.
