A frum jew offered me to make money selling something which contains on it pritzusdike pictures and is not something that a frum jew would do for fun I think(casino). I was not sure if one is alowed to make money like that and he told me that he once heard that tabanim give heterim to jewlery sellers to
sell no -jewish jewelry symbols for parnasa?? shock there is a big potential to make money as this is a new product and it will catch on very fast. want to know your opinions/thoughts.

The non Jewish items heter could be true, after all Michal Negrin sells crosses.

My husband worked for this mag http://www.cotemagazine.com/ , his rav was ok because he only worked with watches, jewelry, places... not with models.

Is it to sell to Jews?

גדול המחטיאו יותר מהרגו

It is worse to cause someone to sin than to kill them.

I'm not so sure it's allowed to sell to non-Jews either. They also have gilui arayos as one of the 7 Mitzvos Bnei-Noach.

original amother here. Here is a question would you say that a prepaid casino card with a naked lady on it (at least for now they will make cards with dressed people soon) is a non kosher thing.( I know its pritzus, on the other hand there is so much of you walk into gap and the monitors with models are in your face or 42nd street manhattan)
I know frum people who go to casino's just for fun you spend $20 and make it back thats it. The cards can be bought by anyone. I don't know who these people are.

I have clients that wanted me to do work for them that involved graphics that I was uncomfortable with. If they wouldn’t yield with their ‘image that they want to portray’ I would give up the account. It’s not worth it. And by the way, I once did accept a client like that and it didn’t help me for business when people discovered that I did the work for them. As soon as I give up an account like that, Hashem sends me something nice and sweet to compensate. It’s all about bitachon. I’m not saying if it’s right or wrong, I’m only saying do what you think you want for your self image, that’s all.

sleaze is sleaze. if you're desperately looking for parnasa, it might be understandable....but it's beneath you, don't you think?

Salut

While on this topic, what about frum storeowners who have non-tznius clothing in their stores that are sold to Jewish-frum customers? Things that can't and won't be fixed like too-short skirts?

I am not sure why you think you can make a lot of money selling casino cards. Are you sure this is not a scam ?

Believe me its not a scam its a new idea and in Europe and Russia and Indonesia and Australia this could be a big hit. People want to have privacy and they don't want others to know that they play a casino on line. This way they don't have to give their credit card number or anything they purchase a card for 25 euro lets say or 50 or 100 and they can go to any computer log into the casino using a code on the card and play while sitting on their couch in the privacy of their home and no one will know. Its a new product there is no like it in the market and there is no competition. It is not for Canada cause the canadian gov makes you pay a big tax on your winnings. Thats why this idea can make big money the company has investors and more people even jewish(not frum) people are investing into it.

SaraG, how many non-Jews go shopping in frum stores?

Also, to keep something in the store to sell to SaraG's short friend or withhumor's eight-year-old daughter would not be worthwhile. The stores know that someone else (not a non-Jew, not a short person, not an eight-year-old) is buying those clothes. Who can it be?

Hmmm.

Well, amother, I don't know if you heard , but just TODAY, president Bush signed into law the Illegal Gambling Act. Which means that those prepaid casino cards would not work with most online casinos, because they are no longer allowed to accept wagers from US residents. It is now considered a criminal act for them to do so. So it wouldn't have been a success anyway.
