does anyone know where I can find online the route that the jews took in the midbar?
More importantly, does anyone know the location of where they were when they sent the meraglim?
TIA

I don't know where you can find a map. The chumashim we used in elementary school had an appendix with this map, but I don't know if you can find it online from a trusted source. A good place to start would be chinuch.org.
If I remember correctly, the Bnai Yisrael were in Kadesh Barne'a when they sent the meraglim.

I don't know if anyone still needs this but,
-Torah Umesorah has a poster size map,
-on line there is one with the haskamaos of Reb Yaakov and Reb Moshe zt"l https://www.otzar.org/wotzar/book.aspx?143670
-Walder Education has one.
-The Lookstein Center of Bar Ilan University also has one, if your school is OK with that.
Warning- there are discrepancies, but you'll get a pretty good idea.
Also, it was Kadesh Barneah also called Risma in Bamidbar

There's a map in the ArtScroll chumash.
