We and our group have been jeeping, touring craters, eating barbeque, watching Shwekey DVDs, feeding llamas, swimming...it's like whole families are in camp! LOL

I'm worried about the East Coast Americans and Canadians.

I was in the subway when it happened and didn't feel anything.

I don't think she was referring to the earthquake...I think she was talking about how we're managing to fill our days with no camp.

?

I thought it was all the kids jumping up and down because they were overly hyper and had nothing else to do.

(Seriously, an hour or so ago my building was shaking, and I think it was because of kids running up and down the stairs when they should have been in bed.
Or it might have been aftershocks.)

So how was everybody's summer?

Did or anyone in your family spend some of it in ... camp?

what are you all so busy with?

I find that I'm often bored. I have 4 little kids and I work from home... I still have free time.

Please tell me what you keep busy with all day.
4 little kids and bored? they must be little angels, not normal, run-of-the-mill children who makes messes all day long, cry, fight, and complain (just to make sure their mom isn't get bored, you understand Wink )

I remember hearing of a mother who was absolutely astounded when her 17th child (!) started climbing on her bookshelves - apparently none of the other children had been quite so "active". Rolling Eyes You must be her twin.

My summer was hot.

My DD had 5 weeks of day camp through her special ed school at a very reasonable cost. She had a great time.

So, did everyone's kids start school yet? Most of mine did. One is still looking for a place.

Hatzlacha with the one, and with the rest too!
My boys all started, though the youngest only half day; all the kids start full day after Labor Day. With the great wisdom of a 12 y.o. ds said, the first week is always exciting, so are the last few days.

Although my DS is long past school age, I still took a stroll through the school supplies aisle last time I was at Wal-Mart. Mamma mia! Talk about chaos! (I managed to fight my way through and stocked up on pens for work.)

Glad to see that although summer may be on the wane, this thread is still going strong. 8) 8)

Next week. He still has a few assignments to complete, but he's in decent shape there. And we need to go clothes and supply shopping this weekend. My poor, soon-to-be-empty wallet.

Next week here too. Today was tough, trying to get Shabbos together and not being able to give the kids attention. At some point I wondered where the parents are of all the kids in my lr/dr. Now we just have to get through Labor Day, parade and all.

Chavamom, are you going to read it? Its a fun read :-D

My kids are in Camp Mommy until November or January, depending on how long I can stay out on maternity leave.

This is bumped up for those who claimed imamother was boring today. What are you doing with your children over Chanuka? (or is that too serious?).

Let's go for another 165 pages.
