Use for softball practice.
Make your linen closet smell nice.
Let dry for about 20 years till it shrivels down to the size of a walnut. drill holes thru center, string on cord and wear as a necklace. Oversize bead necklaces are very "in" right now.
Make key-lime pie using esrogim instead of limes.
Marinate in alcohol and use for perfume. (actually we know someone who makes a sort of esrog liqueur. I've never tasted it so I can't say how it is.)
Two can be earrings for a giant.
Cluster about half a dozen esrogim in a bowl with haddassim leaves and use as a natural room-freshener-come-centerpiece.
Hang up about 7 or 8 on different length of string for wind chimes. It won't sound like anything but it will smell fabulous!
Learn to juggle.
Nursing students:use for practicing giving injections.
Draw a face with permanent marker and use as a replacement doll head.
Let dry till the texture of wood. Throw into your woodburning stove, fireplace or grill.
Plant in your backyard and hope it sprouts.

esrog pomanders (stuck full of cloves) are hit-or-miss. The trick, which I still haven't mastered, is to pierce the skin only partway--deep enough to hold the cloves in place but not deep enough to reach the inner pulp. Once you hit the fruit pulp inside, you're sunk--the esrog will rot.
The only way to know for sure how thick the rind is--short of getting an MRI--is to slice open the esrog. Once you have done that, you can say "oh, look how thick the skin is, this one would have made a perfect besamim ball" and then put it in to soak for esrog jam.

I didn't forget--as we speak my sliced esrogim are soaking in the fridge--but this was posted under "games". making jam is not a game.

dunno. this thread was posted under Games, not under Recipes.
presumably making perfume would be exactly like making liqueur, omitting the sugar syrup, of course. but since I don't know how to make the hooch, and since the one person I know who makes it guards the secret as jealously as the Abishter guards Bnei Yisroel, lehavdil, I'm not likley to get ahold of it any time soon.
