Does anyone have a good dip recipe geared toward children? I hate to give them veggies and then have them dip them in high fructose corn syrup and mayo!!

chumus... I make my own sometimes. just blend chickpeas with tehini paste, leomon juice, garlic, olive oil, salt n pepper. my son loves just the regular sabra chumus.

Zahava - maybe start a new thread with a descriptive subject?

Thanks so much Yael!

I hope to post some recipes after Shabbos.

THANK YOU, Yael!

I'm so glad to see this forum.

Anyone else read the Ami Living article this week about overweight kids? And then turn the page to read the recipes full of margarine, sugar, and whip topping? What a contradiction in values! (I know, they cater to a diverse audience, but the recipes in the issue about heavy kids could have been healthy for just ONE WEEK!)

T&P - I totally agree w/ you (I haven't read the current Ami yet but plan to do so over Shabbos).

I found all the magazines had some nice healthy recipes in the back-to-school issues. Other than that... (Estee Kafra in Binah would often publish nice healthy recipes but she is no longer there).

I think the magazines should supply one healthy recipe among the others that they publish all week.
