hi! I will be making a melave malke in my house this wk for hub's friends. (maybe women too)

Hot bagels. Tuna salad egg salad or buy a fish plate with lax white fish and more

first thing I thought was 'chicken and potatoes', then I thought of cucumber salad, potato salad and other salads.

but I dont know your budget and I dont know how much you want to patchke and stand on your feet. nor do I know if you want variety and if there are special dietary needs you are catering for.

also depends if its soon after shabbos (something lighter) or later( more substantial)

Can I firstly ask what time you're starting MM? Assume most people won't finish their meaty lunch till 2 or even 3pm (esp if they daaven mincha straight after the kiddush), and if they keep 6hours, the earliest they can go milky would be 8 or 9pm.

I would do stuff like spicy chicken wings, hot dogs, meatballs, with buns, egg fried rice, roast potatoes, coleslaw, salad. meat but not too shabbosdik.
