Hi,
I am having a guest for shabbos who is on the SCD diet. Can anyone suggest Shabbos menu ideas that I can do in the crockpot or heat up well on a hot plate?
Thanks!

Do you want a cholent alternative? You can make a meat, butternut squash and carrot stew in the crockpot. (Reminiscent of pesach stew made with meat and potatoes, but use half butternut cubes and half carrot cubes instead of the potatoes.) Use the super large carrots to make nice big chunks. They come out really good. Add chopped onions, crushed garlic, and kosher salt.

lemon cranberry chicken
sprinkle dried dill and black pepper over chicken. add 1 cup fresh cranberries. squeeze 2 lemons on top. should be fine in crock pot.
broccoli kugel
sautee a minced onion. add to one bag chopped broccoli (not cuts). add 7-8 eggs and salt to taste. bake until egg is set.
garlic string beans
place frozen string beans in pan. mince/slice fresh garlic (a few cloves should do. drizzle with olive oil, salt. bake covered or uncovered.
bake some apples with honey and cinnamon for dessert.
