I am looking to buy a second freezer and was wondering if anyone could give me an recommendations in terms of brands. Obviously I would like it to last for many years iy"h (I am looking for an upright, frost free, about 20 cf) Thanks in advance!

I actually have been looking into whirlpools as I have been told that they tend to have a long life... I have seen mixed reviews online some saying that the freezer broke after a few months but I guess that could buy a lemon from any company...

You can buy the extended warranty. Our first freezer was a 17 cubic foot Whirlpool that was manual defrost. It lasted for 20 years, and when it finally went, we gave our backs and legs a break and got a 24 cubic foot Whirlpool that's frost free. It wasn't a lot more money, either.
