I just bought a bunk bed for my kids. Till now they slept with their fuzzy blankets. I would like to get them normal pillows and blankets. What do I search for? What kind of blankets and pillows are appropriate for young kids? Also, where is a good place to buy it?

I bought pillows and blankets at TJ Maxx. They sell a set with a blanket and pillows for like $25 then you'll probably need linen...

How long would it last? Is that considered normal price?

I don't know. I don't feel comfortable going into the store and asking how much it is and then walking out empty handed. That's why I'm asking here.

Don't go to Elegant Linen.

D'Rose is perfect for this. You'll get appropriate pillows and blankets for good prices.

Why do you say not to go to Elegant Linen?

Because they are more expensive. My covers are from there, but dd's are from D'Rose.
And next time I may just buy my blankets at D'Rose as well, because I've realized that I can get beautiful things there for much cheaper. (Like my last Egyptian cotton linen set which was $179 at D'Rose, while the one I bought a few years back at Elegant cost me $275.)

Did you buy your kids their linen at D'rose too or online? How much should I expect the blanket and pillow to cost me?

I bought a set (2 beds) of linen for dd off the sale shelf at D'rose for about $70, but it's not pure cotton. The pure cotton sets weren't on sale and $129 I think.
They had good polyester blankets for the kids for $35 I think.

Polyester blankets? Is that what people get kids? It doesn't make them sweat?

I wanted to buy the down blankets, but they convinced me to get the polyester which most ppl take.
The price was right and dd's has been using it for a year now.

I agree on D'Rose -- it is one of the places all of my OOT family goes to when they get to BP.

I have ordered linen sets from www.blancho-bedding.com a few times for my kids. I like their stuff, its 100% cotton and holds up nicely.
what I like about them is that they sell the "jewish" sets of linen, you know the duvet cover, bottom sheet and pillowcase as a matching set.
I think I paid about $60-70 per set.
