My DH and I just got an 18240-piece jigsaw puzzle, and I'm just curious if anyone has ever attempted to do one that big. We're pretty excited about it. My DH and I love doing puzzles after the kids have gone to bed. Before this, the largest one we did was 3008 pieces.

Where do you keep it during the day that the kids won't get to it, and it won't get messed up?

we have a large table and its always coved with a table cloth
at night when kids are asleep table cloth comes off and we work when finished for that night we cover again they never pull the table cloth b''h and so they dont know anythings under
we plan to glue it and hang it on a wall but we dont have to worry about that so soon we plan to take about 2 years to finish

2000 is the biggest I've made
I have about 25 finished puzzles in my house.
I'm a puzzle freak.

I don't know exactly how many pieces, but definitely over 1000. But I prefer puzzles that I can can do in one afternoon, so they can't be too big.

Ive done 500-1000 pieces. I only hung one up. I stopped doing it when my son threw a tantrum and threw all the puzzle pieces onto the floor

I think 1000. I was in the middle of a glow in the dark NY sklyline (pre 9/11) It's gorgeous but soooo hard. I put it on a puzzle mat on my blech, under my bed, but the edges started to get messed up when the cleaning lady cleaned so I packed it back up. Hope she didn't vaccum any pieces.
